INTINERARY IN PEDASI
OUR NEW KAYAK FISHING ITINERARY FOR THE SEASON FROM AUGUST TO NOVEMBER
PANAMA KAYAK ADVENTURE
ALL YEAR LONG
Panama's Azuero Peninsula is possibly one of the best kayak fishing spots in the world. The variety of sport fish species are distributed all along this coast, from the southern front at Tembladera on the Wild Coast, turning to the east coast where the town of Pedasi is located. About 370 kilometers from the capital of Panama, the region is home to the Iguana Island, which is surrounded by a marine reserve where commercial fishing is prohibited and where many sport fishermen go to get their trophies another season. The waters of Playa de Arenal are ideal for kayak fishing from August to November, exactly when the rainy season supplies the forests of the Costa Selvagem. Also, the Pedasi region has one of the lowest rainfall rates in Panama, making it ideal for kayak fishing during the wettest seasonal period in the rest of the country.
The other Panamanian Paradise
Make no mistake, the waters of Pedasi are populated with the most prized sport fishing species of the Pacific.
Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Amberjack, Grouper, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, SailFish, JackCrevalle, Corvina, Yellowtail Snapper, Rainbow Runner, Pompano, Rock Snapper, Sierra Mackerel, Golden Trevally, Mullet Snapper, Giant Hawkfish, Burrito Grunt, Snooks, uf, and yet many other species can be caught in this region.
And Pedasi is one of the few places in the world where Tarpon, a fish originally from the Atlantic, can be caught together with Roosterfish and Cubera Snapper. This is a local grand slam.
